NOTE:In the interest of keeping my links list short and
manageable, I do not promise reciprocal links.
(I have many other web pages in addition to the
needlework pages and checking for broken links on a regular basis
is tedious at best. *smile*)
My gift to the web community is not my links page but the stitch examples.
To those that feel my pages are worthy of a link even with-out
reciprocation, Thank you. I'm glad you find the pages of value.
Hardcopy References
My main sources are:
100 Embroidery Stitches -- Coats & Clark's Book No. 150
- New York: Coats & Clark Inc, 1964.
- I've seen this booklet still for sale in fabric stores and
crafts stores. Mine belonged to my grandmother and is marked for
29 cents. I think it's a dollar or two now.
Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Needlework
- Pleasantville, New York: The Reader's Digest Association, Inc, 1979.
- ISBN 0-89577-059-8
- I picked up a water stained copy of this book from a used bookstore
for $4.50. Before that I borrowed the book from the library many
times. I have also seen it for sale in bookstores for about $28.
I really like this book since it covers a great deal including
embroidery, needlepoint, knitting, quilting, lace and so much more.
It has photographs of the worked stitches as well as diagrams and
verbal explanations. This book is available at most libraries both in the U.S.A. and U.K..

- I have been receiving this magazine for a couple years as a gift from
my sister-in-law and have really liked it. It usually has several
projects, some large, some small. Interesting articles on tools and
tips, designer profiles, and ... diagrams on how to do various
stitches. For those of you who need ideas of how to use some of
the stitches you've never tried this may be the answer for you.
